Dr. Ankush Bansal is a double board-certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Physician who has dedicated his career to treating complex and difficult-to-manage pain conditions. Originally from Michigan, he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan, where he explored the impact of exercise, nutrition, and movement on the human body. After experiencing a chronic neck injury, Dr. Bansal was inspired to pursue advanced training in Anesthesiology and Chronic Interventional Pain Management at UCLA, where he trained under some of the most respected leaders in the field.
Since joining Coastal in 2018, Dr. Bansal has remained committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. He holds medical and surgical privileges at Scripps Memorial Encinitas Hospital and Tri City Medical Center, and specializes in treating pain affecting the neck, back, pelvis, shoulder, hip, and knees. An active member of several national medical societies, he also contributes to ongoing research and has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Pain Medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bansal enjoys spending time with his family, running, traveling, and exploring the beauty of San Diego.
